# "Just Temperament" Page

### Common uilleann pipe tuning approximations compared to standard concert
or "Equal Temperament" Tunings

Below I have assumed that an uilleann pipe D is tuned exactly to an
"ET" or concert D. The "Just Ratio" gives the formula
used to compute each pitch based on the pitch of the reference note. The
"Just Frequency" shows the tuning meter reading for the "Just"
or approximately uilleann-pipe tuning. The "ET Frequency"
column gives the concert tuning meter readings for conventional instruments.
